St. Eustatius (Netherlands Antilles) – Chapman Expeditions and researchers from the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the University of Washington Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture and Sirenas MD have reported a successful end to their St. Eustatius Expedition 2017. The ship RV Chapman reached the Caribbean island of St. Eustatius on 13th April, with the aim of studying, for the first time, deep reef communities at depths which are unreachable via conventional scuba diving (between 50-300 m), with the help of the manned submersible Curasub (Substation Curacao).

Zaragoza (Spain) – From 25th – 29th April, Fassi’s main Spanish distributor, Transgrúas Cial SL, will be attending the 17th edition of SMOPYC, the international trade show for public works, construction and mining machinery, which takes place every three years. The event will be held at the Feria de Zaragoza exhibition ground over an area of 360,000 m², with exhibitions and live demonstrations from major industry brands.

Fassi F1100RA aboard on the vessel RV Chapman for St. Eustatius Expedition 2017
St. Eustatius (Netherlands Antilles) – On the 9th April, staff from Chapman Expeditions left the Port of Curacao on the research vessel RV Chapman, bound for St. Eustatius island (locally known as Statia), the “Golden Rock” of the Caribbean, with a Fassi F1100RA.2 he-dynamic crane onboard. The RV Chapman and Substation-Curacao teams will be joined by marine biologists and scientists from the Smithsonian DROP Team, the University of Washington/Burke Museum and Sirenas MD, a company which specializes in the development of potent therapeutic molecules to cure illness.
