The University of Iceland gets a new Fassi Micro M15A.12 marine crane
Reykjavik (Iceland) – Last month, the University of Iceland received the new installation of a Fassi Micro M15A.12 crane for marine application, seen here on one of their vessels moored in Reykjavik harbour. It is thought that this crane will prove helpful in facilitating many of the University’s different marine-based research programmes. Fassi’s Icelandic distributor, Barki.Ehf., supplied the crane.

A Fassi F110A.22 loader crane fitted to UD truck in Dubai for the delivery of construction materials
Dubai (UAE) – Fassi’s distributor for the United Arab Emirates, Precision Machinery LLC, has completed the installation of a Fassi F110A.22 loader crane in Dubai, which was sold on to the final customer by their dealer United Diesel Enterprises LLC, also based in Dubai. The crane was mounted onto a UD Croner LKE 210 truck and will be used principally for loading and unloading during delivery operations.

Buenos Aires (Argentina) – From 28th June to 1st July, Fassi’s Argentinian dealer, Cowdin S.A., will be exhibiting Fassi loader cranes at the BATEV 17 trade fair in Buenos Aires. This is Argentina's leading event for construction, architecture, engineering and design. Over 170 exhibitors take part annually, presenting new products and solutions (as well as training and discussion activities) to approximately 100,000 visitors in the 45,000 m² space of La Rural Predio Ferial venue.

São Paulo (Brazil) – Happy 50th Anniversary to all those at Cunzolo Guindastes e Plataformas! On the 23rd June, the company commemorates 50 years of business, growth and development since Rodolfo and Tomás Cunzolo founded the company’s first branch in São Paulo in 1967.

The Poseidon is the latest vessel purchased by Traslochi Express. It entered into service in February 2017, increasing the transportation capacity of the Mestre-based Veneto company with forty years’ experience. 16 metres long and 3 metres wide, with a load capacity of 50 cubic metres, and a maximum weight capacity of 20,000 kg, it is fitted with a modern Fassi F110B.2.23 e-dynamic knuckle-boom crane with a lifting capacity of 9.38 tm.

A light-duty Fassi loader crane stars in British soap opera Emmerdale
Leeds (UK) – On 19th June, a light-duty Fassi loader crane appeared in an episode of the immensely popular British television soap opera Emmerdale, which aired on the ITV channel. The drama is set in the Yorkshire Dales and filmed at ITV Yorkshire studios in Leeds. The story focuses on the lives of the families who live in the fictional village of Emmerdale. It is the second-longest-running soap opera in the UK and attracts an average of 5 – 7 million viewers per episode.

On 22nd June, Fassi France will host its annual “Journée Italienne” (Italian Day)
Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône (France) – On 22nd June, Fassi’s French distributor, Fassi France, will host the 18th edition of the “Journée Italienne” (Italian Day), an annual celebration of Italian culture and manufacturing, to be held at the company headquarters in Saint-Ouen-l'Aumône, in the north-western suburbs of Paris. With a nod to the current Fassi “CraneArt” calendar, the theme of this year’s celebration is Street Art and will feature street musicians, an orchestra, a surprise activity and, of course, a presentation of the latest Fassi, Marrel and Jekko equipment.

Port Louis (Mauritius) – In May a Fassi loader F335A.2.23 e-dynamic crane was delivered to a Mauritian company and is the first loader crane with a 30-tm lifting capacity in the island nation. The company specialises in the supply and repair of all hydraulic equipment and pneumatic components and is based in Port Louis.
