SBK Jerez 2016

Nearing the date of the SBK in Jerez. Tom Sykes was champion in 2015

Jerez de la Frontera (Spain) – 7th October. There are only 6 days left before the championship stage of the SBK 2016 on the Andalusian track of Jerez de la Frontera, not even 35 km northeast of Cádiz. During the winter trials at the end of last November, the best time was recorded by Sykes on his Kawasaki, stopping the clock at 1:40:316. On the other hand, the other ZX-10R of Jonathan Rhea recorded his best run one second slower than his teammate.

Magny-Cours 2016
Race 2 of the 2016 MOTUL FIM Superbike World Championship got underway at Magny-Cours on Sunday with almost perfect conditions setting the scene for a magnificent day of racing. Aruba.it Racing – Ducati’s Chaz Davies stole the show once again to take the double for a fifth time in his career. Kawasaki Racing Team’s Jonathan Rea and Tom Sykes put on an incredible show battling for the podium to finish in second and third. Superbike - Drivers' standings: 1 REA p.426, 2 SYKES p.378, 3 DAVIES p.345, 4 VAN DER MARK p.234, 5 HAYDEN p.202.

Nevers-Magny Cours 2016
The clock is ticking on the 2016 WorldSBK season and with three rounds remaining, Jonathan Rea has one hand on the title. For centuries, people have travelled to France in search of a miracle. Typically it is to Lourdes that pilgrims flock but this weekend it will be to the Circuit de Nevers-Magny Cours. The links between the two are well known, with Saint Bernadette Soubirous - who first cited the apparitions of Lourdes - having died close to the circuit in Nevers. With Jonathan Rea having opened a 47 point title lead it may be that the flagging hopes of Tom Sykes' title campaign are in need of divine intervention this weekend.
