Specifically, the F800RA xhe-dynamic model is equipped for the first time with the new exclusive electronic control system of load conditions called Fassi FX900, and with the new user panel on the crane that collects and displays all information pertaining to the operating conditions of the crane thanks to a latest-generation colour “touch screen” graph display.

The F1950RAL+L816L crane, which offers the largest reach ever developed by Fassi.

The S Range will also be on display with the new F195AS model, with enhanced performances and, most importantly, with the single linkage system to increase the efficiency of this crane, which belongs to a range specifically designed for the German market.

Moreover, visitors will be able to watch the Fassi Smartapp at work. This is a veritable integrated real-time data collection and reading system, capable of performing remote diagnostics on crane operation. A “must have” system if you wish to make the most of the features offered by your crane, and to improve crane maintenance times, thanks to utilization statistics.

Fassi will also be displaying the new compact remote controls, specifically designed for small range cranes. This new device will be presented, fully functional and testable, in combination with a Micro crane.
Fassi cranes are an investment that lasts in time, as their characteristics stay the same for over 10 years, a timeframe identified by competitors as the “expiry” for the lifecycle of their products

Two simple acronyms that may seem to not mean much. Fassi cranes comply with the new standards (formerly H1B3), which means that their qualities stay the same for a much longer period compared to its competitors which, on the other hand, offer products with an “expiry date”, and whose lifecycle is considered over after 10 years.

However, the moment a Fassi crane starts working, it is intended to last a lot longer. It is not a declaration of intents but rather a certainty, confirmed by the fact that more than 70% of the cranes produced in almost 50 years of company history are still fully working.

A confirmation of quality further strengthened by the fact that a used Fassi crane retains a high value on the market and does not depreciate. Consequently, choosing Fassi is a veritable economic and entrepreneurial investment that translates into profitability in daily use. Thanks to the technological developments according that place innovation as a characterizing and competitive value, Fassi cranes ensure superior performances and capabilities. Working better and faster, in total safety under all kinds of lifting conditions, even the most complex and taxing ones, means tangible advantages in terms of performance.

Fassi Gru is one of the few crane manufacturers in the world to take on the burden of fatigue tests for all its models. The term “fatigue” stands for a process within which a material may break, with cracks forming under the action of repeated loads. In practice, it has been shown that, under special conditions, this phenomenon can start (be triggered) after only 1000 lifting cycles. This is why the design consistency is verified in continuous cycle, by means of a fully equipped prototype crane assembled on a special bench, with a minimum of 200000 work cycles. Through fatigue tests, design engineers can truly assess whether the crane complies with the design data. Firstly, depending on the effects of the concentration, of the stress, of the shapes, of the number of cycles and of the statistical curve of the loads. Secondly, depending on other factors such as static strength, average stress, residual welding stress, metal sheet thickness, working temperatures and frequency of the loads.

It is important that a crane always be fully efficient. This is why choosing a Fassi crane means making a quality investment with high added value, intended to create both short and long-term returns, also easier to amortize and with guaranteed performances.
The goal of Fassi Gru is to provide all its products with added value in their various aspects: from mechanical solutions to hydraulic functions up to electronic systems, without forgetting after-sales services

Fassi-RDResearch and Development are crucial elements of Fassi’s world, the foundations of the construction philosophy that guides the company towards increasingly demanding challenges, in order to develop solutions capable of anticipating the needs of the market. In fact, the company firmly believes that innovating means having a view of the future without neglecting today’s reality, in other words staying true to the specific peculiarities of the product.

This is exemplified by the instruments made available to the design department: the calculation programmes developed in cooperation with the Milan’s Polytechnic Institute, the highly advanced design and simulation CAD systems such as “Catia”, also used by leading manufacturers in the automotive and aerospace sectors, in addition to Fassi Gru, the only company in the articulated cranes sector. A system thanks to which it is possible to work in a virtual reality, with an overall view of all phases and all aspects of the design, verticalizing and integrating all processes into a single tool: concept, development, simulation and structural analysis.

Electronics and the use of high and ultra-high strength steels (UHSS) are also crucial when it comes to making the difference, as they are able to ensure extremely high performances. Hence, relying on the concept that a company needs to offer more to its customers, combining safety and performances: in other words, combining the highest performances without taking any risks, thus enhancing the overall safety of the equipment.

Another important aspect is the man-machine interface. Fassi Gru was one of the first companies to develop remote control systems using a radio control. This has resulted in the operator being able to work in safer positions, with improved visibility and, in some cases, limiting the number of workers needed to carry out the job. Innovative communication systems were created and radio transmission reliability concepts were established; moreover, the crane control instruments were made “user-friendly”, making it possible for the operator to manage the crane in real time through the display.

The high standards followed during the construction phase are a direct result of the company’s focus on the design and development phase of the prototypes. Without forgetting the capillary and professional after-sales network, operating in 60 countries throughout the world and always ready to step in when the customer needs technical support.

This is an original nylon material supported by a light alloy structure that will house the reception and the offices, as well as the multimedia stations that illustrate the production and operation of Fassi cranes.
Once again, a cutting-edge choice that underscores the company’s desire to invest and travel down new paths, a desire that has always distinguished the doings of Fassi Gru.

In addition to the two new products, the F110B crane and the SmartApp, the visitors’ attention at the Fassi stand will certainly be captured by the Man truck fitted with a Fassi F1950 crane, the largest machine to be produced by the Bergamo-based company. This truck is owned by the Austrian company Spiegl, which chose this set-up to further expand the lifting capacities of its fleet; in fact, the combination Man-Fassi F1950RA.2.28 can reach a horizontal reach of 45 m, a loading moment up to 138 ton/m for a self-weight of about 15 tons. The operator can thus lift weights of up to 6 tons but, by suitably positioning the lifting hook, the lifting capacity can reach 40 tons.

Five additional models will complete the display at the stand: F38A Active (lifting capacity 3.47 t/m and hydraulic reach 7.55 m), F55A Active (lifting capacity 4.99 t/m and hydraulic reach 9.25 m), F65AC Active (lifting capacity 6.01 t/m and hydraulic reach 8.20 m), F80AC Active (lifting capacity 8.26 t/m and hydraulic reach 9.40 m) and F455RA e-dynamic (lifting capacity 43.43 t/m and hydraulic reach 20.80 m).

Visitors will certainly be curious about the presentation of the first prototypes on a 1:50 scale of the Fassi F1100RA, which is offered to collectors and aficionados in combination with vehicles of all brands starting from 2013, even with different models and fittings of the same brand.
