Jekko s.r.l. was established in January 2016 as a spin-off of the namesake brand – active for over 15 years in minicranes, minipickers and vacuum-lift cranes - from Ormet S.p.A., a manufacturer of handling and lifting equipment with a 40-year experience. Now Fassi Gru S.p.A., Italian leading manufacturer and supplier of hydraulic cranes for installation on trucks, has joined the company to further boost development and expansion on the global market.
Fassi Gru will, as usual, be present at Lastbil, the Swedish trade fair dedicated to the industrial vehicle sector, which will take place at Elmia (320 km south west of Stockholm) from 24th to 27th August. The local dealer for the Italian brand, Fassi Sverige AB, based in Göteborg, will display two of the highly sought-after F545RA cranes from Fassi’s range of large models on their 1,000 square metre stand, number U502:10.
Fassi, one of the world's largest manufacturers of cranes for trucks, becomes the majority owner of the Cranab group with the subsidiaries; Vimek, Bracke Forest and Slagkraft, through the acquisition of Z-forestab´s ownership stake in the company. Z-forestab, a jointly owned company by Inlandsinnovation, Mittkapital and Ekonord, has agreed to sell its stake in Cranab group. Cranab manufactures cranes for forestry equipment and is located in Vindeln outside Umeå, Sweden. Fassi is already a shareholder in Cranab group and through this deal Fassi becomes the majority owner.
Fassi presents a new XE model to the cranes in the middle-range lifting segment, distinguished by its excellent performance and remarkable power-to-weight ratio. Following the most recent presentation of the F545RA model to the market, Fassi continues to complete the XE range with the introduction of a new model to the medium-sized category.
