IAA 2014: Fassi presents the latest models of the new XE and XHE ranges

The Fassi Gru industrial group, a leader in the lifting sector, will be participating in the IAA 2014 industrial vehicle trade fair, that will be held in Hannover from 25th September to 2nd October, one of the largest international trade fairs dedicated to the transport and industrial vehicle sectors. Now, in its 65th edition, IAA is organised by VDA (German association of the automobile industry), the most authoritative industry association present in Germany.

Proposing new quality products means investing in innovative processes developed as a result of the constant desire to offer ideas and solutions to the market and the ability to interpret and anticipate its needs. Nowadays, to achieve new and effective results, Fassi Gru integrates mechanical solutions with electronic ones, ergo mechatronics. The attention of the Italian manufacturer focuses entirely on innovation and technology and the new models reflect this clear orientation.

On display in the outdoor area M stand 37 there will be the latest models of the new XE and XHE ranges, which introduce design and innovative features resulting in performance that places these models at the top in terms of lifting capacity. In particular, the “heavy-duty” F990RA xhe-dynamic crane model will be on display. At the same time, a new model of the Micro series will be presented in preview (M40A, the only crane in this range with linkage system) together with the F85B.0, a new model in the 8 ton/m class.

The impressive F1950RAL.2.28 will also be on display, mounted on a 4-axle vehicle from Denmark: a crane with a 137,6 ton/m lifting capacity that, with its jib and manual extensions, obtains a height outreach of 50 m. This very compact unit, in standard configuration (without any accessories), reaches a total weight of 32 t with all the consequent benefits of road use.

World premiere of Fassi at the Swedish 2014 Elmia Lastbil trade fair

Fassi Gru, a world leader in the lifting industry, will be present as usual at the Elmia Lastbil Swedish trade fair dedicated to the industrial vehicle sector scheduled to be held in Jönköping (320 km south west of Stockholm) from 20th to 23rd August. A biennial appointment that was established more than 30 years ago and that on the occasion of the last edition of 2012 attracted nearly 40,000 visitors and 434 exhibitors from all over Europe.

Fassi will take part at the 2014 Eurosatory exhibition

For the fifth time, Fassi Gru S.p.A. will take part at the most important European exhibition dedicated to safety and defence that will take place in Paris from the 16th to the 20th of June. At the “Pe6b E230” exhibition stand located in the external area of the exhibition grounds, Fassi will present a crane prototype with “extremely reduced height in transport position” designed for logistics vehicles of air freight divisions as well as three cranes for light lifting.
The Marrel roll-offs AL 20 DIN 60 (installed on a VOLVO FH16 6x2L EURO 6 with wheelbase 4800 + 1370 mm) and AL 6 DIN 29 (installed on an IVECO Daily 70C17K with wheelbase 3450 mm) dominated Fassi’s stand. The AL 20 sturdy tipper roll-off caisson, almost fully mechanic and with a 20-ton carrying capacity, ensures a quick and adjustable coupling, as well as a closure facing inward or outward thanks to its interchangeable hooks. With a 6-ton carrying capacity, the roll-off AL 6 D 29 proved to be an equally interesting product for the construction, agricultural and recycling sectors; moreover, the electronic control unit is solid and compact.

The cranes include the brand new Fassi F165AZ, featuring an innovative design that allows the reversed folding of the outer boom. Not only does this new model reflect Fassi’s construction philosophy, but it also represents a solution capable of improving the performance of the crane itself, without neglecting product reliability. For the first time, the booms can be moved through a single chain ram assembled inside the outer boom: this makes it possible to optimize use of the available space, so that all hydraulic hoses fit inside the boom.

In collaboration with the Cranab company, Fassi also introduced a crane for the forestry sector. The model on display offered an overview of the technology and high performance offered by the Swedish equipment.
Baltimore-based Fascan International, the U.S. distributor of Italian-based Fassi Articulating Cranes, announced today that it will have several models of new knuckleboom cranes and control/safety systems on display at CONEXPO, Booth 2736, on March 4-8, 2014 at the Las Vegas Convention Center, Nevada.

The new products Fascan will be featuring will include, but are not limited to:

• The F950RA.2.28L426, a heavy-duty articulating crane designed to lift, maneuver, and set concrete forms and holding tanks;

• The F120B.2.25, a light-duty articulating crane that expands on the capabilities of the F120B, including double links and five hydraulic extensions as opposed to previously featured four.

• The Fassi Stability Control (FSC) system, which automatically limits crane operation when it senses that pre-set stability conditions have not been met.
Fassi brings custom, quality solutions to lifting challenges of every size.  Fascan and its partners have adapted Fassi cranes to a variety of truck frames for use in a variety of industries including mass transit, utilities, telecommunications, agriculture, oil and gas market and more.

The goal of Fassi technology is to provide all its products with added value in their various aspects: from mechanical solutions to hydraulic functions up to electronic systems, without forgetting after-sales services.

Research and Development are crucial elements of Fassi’s world, the foundations of the construction philosophy that guides the company towards increasingly demanding challenges, in order to develop solutions capable of anticipating the needs of the market. In fact, the company firmly believes that innovation means looking to the future without overlooking the present.

Fascan will have their full team of sales representatives available to answer questions about the company’s newest equipment and safety components.
