Increasing the easy and safe use of cranes is the objective behind the development of new automation systems designed by Fassi. The latest of these systems is the Automatic Crane Folding function, which can be used on models fitted with a digital radio control unit and specific control sensors.
IFAT 2018

Fassi attends the IFAT fair 2018 for environmental technologies in Munich


Munich (Germany) – From 14th to 18th May, Fassi will attend the 27th edition of IFAT, the most important international fair for environmental technologies, which is held every 2 years. Over 3000 exhibitors from the recycling, water and sewage treatment and waste and raw materials management sectors will participate at the Messe München venue, where it is anticipated approximately 136,800 visitors will attend.

Stockholm (Sweden) – On 19th April, a black Fassi F1150RA.2.26 xhe-dynamic loader crane with L616 jib was used in a lifting operation at the Royal Palace of Stockholm in Sweden. The Swedish monarch King Carl XVI Gustaf received 600 solar panels as a 70th birthday gift, with a view to increasing the official royal residence’s sources of renewable energy and contributing to a better environment.

Besançon (France) – From 5th - 13th May, a Fassi France dealer will be participating in the 92nd edition of the Foire Comtoise, an annual event in celebration of international culture and industry in the eastern French region of Bourgogne-Franche-Comté. The event features over 600 exhibitors representing a wide range of sectors, including construction, forestry, transport, landscaping and agriculture.

La Rioja (Argentina) – Recently BGCONS S.R.L., an Argentinian construction company based in the city of San Fernando del Valle de Catamarca, carried out a project in the neighbouring province of La Rioja using its Fassi F660RA.2.26 he-dynamic hydraulic crane to handle flanges for 123 wind generators in the construction of a new wind energy farm. The crane can be seen here placing a flange that supports the base of the generator, each of which will produce 2.5 megawatts per hour.

Gothenburg (Sweden) – This month, Fassi’s Swedish distributor, Fassi Sverige AB, supplied and installed a Fassi F710RA.2.27 xhe-dynamic loader crane equipped with an L426 jib onto a Volvo FH16 650 hp truck for the customer Lycke Transport & Entreprenad AB. Based in Kärna, a locality in the west of Sweden 12 miles (approximately 19 km) from Gothenburg, the company has a growing fleet for cargo and transport services and adds this new purchase to its other vehicles equipped with Fassi cranes.

Dover (Australia) – Fassi’s Australian distributor, 600 Cranes Australasia Pty Limited, has recently supplied a M25AFM.13 marine crane for the customer Huon Aquaculture Tasmania. The company is a large aquaculture and food processing enterprise with its head office in the city of Dover. It is one of the largest producers of salmon in the Australian state of Tasmania. Mounted on one of the company’s many fishing vessels, this model has a maximum lifting capacity of up to 2.55 tm and a maximum hydraulic outreach 4.7 m.
