Helsinki - 2 Fassi F2150RA

Two Fassi F2150RA cranes involved in a delicate combined operation

Helsinki (Finland) - 9th June. One doesn’t often see two Fassi F2150RA cranes working together. It happened at the beginning of June at the University of Helsinki, where it was necessary to move a heavy iron girder inside the building as part of renovation works. The possibility to work in limited space (in this case thanks to the jib) and move with extreme precision made this two-hour operation possible. Courtesy of E. Bertazzi.

O2, ex Millenium Dome - Fassi F455RA

A Fassi F455RA to handle very heavy books

Greenwich Peninsula, South East London (England) - 12th July. It’s hard to imagine books which are heavier and bulkier than those shown in this photograph. Yet a Fassi F455RA fitted on a vehicle belonging to the fleet of the English company R.S. French Ltd has moved this unusual structure, together with a gigantic shoebox. Bulky advertising installations are not often lifted, so when it happens it’s a particularly curious situation. This happened in London at the O2, the ex-Millennium Dome which is now used as an exhibition venue.
