Cosford (UK) – The Shropshire-based company Loosemores Transport had the enviable job of lifting and transporting this stunning aircraft last week. The Boulton Paul P-108 Balliol T2 WN149 was rebuilt from the remains of the original cockpit section and had just completed its restoration at RAF Cosford by the Boulton Paul Heritage team. A.M Tree Surgeons and the first grapple saw-equipped Fassi crane in the UK


Huddersfield (UK) – FASSI UK’s authorised dealer Mac’s Truck Sales have created the first grapple saw-equipped Fassi crane in the UK for A.M Tree Surgeons. The vehicle chosen was a Volvo FMX460 8x4 with a very short wheelbase that provides the perfect platform to achieve a full 360-degree operation with no reduction in performance in any zones. Nuneaton (UK) – In May, one of Fassi UK’s main dealers, Central Crane Technicians, was delighted to supply a Fassi F820RA.2.26 xhe-dynamic model to the crane specialists J W Morley Transport Ltd. Based in Warwickshire, the 20-year-old family-run firm began with two small trucks delivering concrete beams and now has a fleet of 14 vehicles with cranes ranging from the light-duty Fassi F165A up to the heavy-duty Fassi F700/800s. Two Fassi cranes belonging to a South African company engage in a tandem lifting operation at the Durban port


Durban (South Africa) – 15th April. Two Fassi cranes from the Lovemore Bros company have been engaged in the tandem lifting operation of an industrial machine at the port of Durban, a coastal town in the province of KwaZulu-Natal in eastern South Africa. The two cranes, an F820RA installed on a Volvo Tridem truck and an F600A on an ERF 8x4 truck, handled this load without any difficulty and transferred it onto a special semi-trailer to be transported to its final destination. Reykjavík (Iceland) – Fassi's Icelandic distributor, Barki.Ehf, based in Kópavogur on the outskirts of Reykjavík, has recently sent photographs of a lifting service in which two Fassi cranes were used to handle a very bulky prefabricated building unit. One of the cranes in question (which are both from the heavy-duty range and mounted on MAN trucks) is an F820RA xhe-dynamic model, which has a maximum lifting capacity of 78.49 tm and a maximum hydraulic reach of up to 30.45 m with a jib attached. Oberentfelden (Switzerland) – Fassi’s Swiss distributor, Fassi Schweiz AG, has recently supplied a F820RA.2.28 xhe-dynamic truck crane for electric power stations in the city of Dietikon in the Swiss canton of Zurich. The crane is mounted on a Mercedes truck fitted with a demountable ballast bridge, all of which combine to make an ideal vehicle for transporting equipment such as high voltage transformers and large cable reels within, to and from the power station.
