Fassi customer David Watson Transport Ltd delivers to the 2017 World Athletics Championships with a Fassi F485RA.2.25 xe-dynamic loader crane

London (UK) – Last week Fassi UK customer David Watson Transport Ltd delivered portakabins to the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London for the 2017 IAAF and IPC World Athletics Championships. This year London will host the 16th edition of the biennial games from 4th – 13th August, which will be the city’s biggest sporting event since the 2012 Olympic Games.

David Watson Transport was there to help prepare with a custom-painted F485RA.2.25 xe-dynamic crane mounted on a 6x2 Volvo FM11 rigid truck, christened “Baldr” by the company. The truck-crane combination delivered several portkabins to a site at the foot of the UK’s tallest public art sculpture, “ArcelorMittal Orbit” by Anish Kapoor, which can be found next to the London Stadium. The crane has a maximum lifting moment of 45.57 tm and is one of 42 Fassi cranes in DWT’s extensive fleet of crane-mounted vehicles.
