A Fassi F820RA.2 xhe-dynamic loader crane and "Colossus" make a winning partnership in the UK
Earls Colne (UK). David Watson Transport Ltd, a British cargo and freight company headquartered in Weeting, Norfolk, is getting excellent results from their front mounted Fassi F820RA.2 xhe-dynamic crane with a fly-jib, which was fitted to a Volvo FM460 8x2 rigid truck. The vehicle was the company’s seventeenth new truck of 2016 and went on the road on the 10th January 2017.
With the jib, the crane achieves a reach of 25.8 m, has a lifting capacity of 82 t/m and also has 6 stabilising legs, including front bumper stabilisers, allowing for 360° lifting capabilities. The company has christened this particular vehicle “Colossus”, which operates out of their Earls Colne depot in Essex. The crane was sold to the company by Fassi dealer Walker Crane Services in Essex.
