Grutech Oy, the Finnish dealer for Fassi, and Weldmec Marine Ltd. collaborate in the Northern Europe area, bringing the quality of Italian cranes to the local naval sector

Porvoo (Finland) - The extensive coastline of Scandinavia has always facilitated the development of activities in the maritime sector. The shipbuilding industry is highly developed and over the last few years the local market has seen an increase in the demand for light vessels fitted with equipment capable of carrying out lifting operations. Weldmec Marine Ltd., a naval construction company located in Porvoo, in Southern Finland, often fits Fassi cranes supplied by Grutech Oy, the Finnish dealer for the Italian brand. Fassi cranes combine compact dimensions and reduced weight with excellent levels of performance.

In the light-duty crane range, models from the Micro series stand out, as they are ideal for on-board operations on small vessels, which have to be light and fast. For this reason, Weldmec chooses Fassi cranes from the light-duty range in the construction of fire-fighting and rescue vessels, and for situations requiring the handling of heavier materials on barges for environmental decontamination and aquaculture it uses cranes from the medium-duty range.
