Fassi Gru teams up with Bicar for quality

The 16 Iveco Daily models to be shipped to a leading leasing company are almost ready: commissioned by a major operator in the energy sector, they will be used in Sardinia.
These models were fitted by Bicar S.r.l. of Suzzara, a company that’s rapidly growing under the guidance of Ike Bordina, the young owner who inherited his father’s passion and competence for this work. “While Bicar S.r.l. was founded in 2013 - explains Ike Bordina -, our history dates far back, to the company my father founded in 1980, passing down the building and equipment to me a few years ago. In no way does this corporate and generational change negate the past. On the contrary, its past represents one of its strengths. My father began with an industrial body shop specialised in repairs and just a few years later he began fitting all types of commercial vehicles, from vans to semi-trailers, which all shared aluminium construction as the common denominator. We made semi-trailers for the transport of racing cars and simple fixed bodies for small businesses. The company was originally located in Luzzara and we didn’t move to Suzzara until 2000, to a 7,000 m2 facility, including 1500 m2 of warehouse space”.

This year, the re-launch of the Bicar brand was consolidated and the goal for the end of this year is to reach the milestone of 250 installations. This number includes the 16 Iveco Daily models, seven of which have a dump trailer and behind-the-cab Fassi crane. The six Daily models for the Class-B driver’s license and 35S13 single wheel are fitted with an F28A.0.23 Fassi active crane, while the model for the Class-C driver’s license and 65C17 twin wheels are equipped with Fassi’s F85BC.0.24 active crane”.

“The client, who does not compromise on quality, specifically requested Fassi cranes - concludes Ike Bordina - specifying the exact model, and most importantly the supplier, in the specifications. This is a fairly well-established practice: when the client focuses on reliable equipment that lasts over time, in addition to the construction specifications of the fitting, they specifically request a Fassi crane. And this order was no exception”.
