Skyway Monte Bianco

Now on Fassi’s YouTube channel, the video made by Funivie Monte Bianco S.p.A. telling the story of the Skyway Monte Bianco work-site and the Fassi F425RA.2.24 e-dynamic loader crane

This video made by Funivie Monte Bianco S.p.A. tells of the amazing 4-year building challenge faced in order to complete the new “Skyway Monte Bianco” cableway connecting Courmayeur to Pointe Helbronner at an altitude of 3,466 metres.

Extreme conditions, with temperatures as low as 30 degrees below zero and winds of over 70 km/hour, were faced by a team of approximately 500 people working throughout the seasons, even in the winter (in the final year only), to finish the work within the deadline of Spring 2015.
This futuristic system was built by the Cordée Mont Blanc consortium on behalf of Funivie Monte Bianco S.p.A., and the head of the consortium, Cogeis S.p.A., a well-known Canavese company, which specialises in the execution of important projects in Italy and abroad, chose Fassi Gru S.p.A. as their technical partner to supply the 3,466 metres-high work-site with a crane that is much more versatile than fixed construction cranes in such challenging conditions.
