The new video "The steel challenge" - 5th part: Fassi's challenges

Fassi - The steel challenge Fassi is now able to reach new heights thanks to SSAB, and produce cranes whose performance was previously impossible. The F1950 model was developed for use in a particular configuration. Specifically, it is a machine that can be installed on an approved 32-tonne 4-axle vehicle. This means our customers can even operate in built-up residential streets with restricted spaces for working. It is able to reach heights of up to 40 metres and can work in conditions that no other machine can match. Light, but with the capacity to lift extremely heavy loads. This is a feat accomplished thanks to the performance, reliability and efficiency of this new model. And just watching a Fassi crane at work, one is able to take in its characteristic quality and efficiency. We chose Fassi because we needed great reach and height to place loads. Fassi has excellent lifting capacity. We use this crane on construction jobs and for other applications too. It can lift up to 30 tonnes near the truck, and we use it for a variety of heavy-duty lifting and loading, such as boats and industrial machinery. Fassi is not only a crane.  It is a concept of making cranes: developing the crane, manufacturing the crane, delivering the crane, service, pack up, not to mention spare parts, which is extremely important. Fassi cranes are manufactured in Italy and exported all round the world by a market leader that has relied on SSAB to provide ultra high strength steel for many years. That’s what makes Fassi cranes leading edge, at the top of the market, with a build quality that no competitor can beat. Research and development are fundamental to becoming a market leader. The power-to-weight ratio and load capacity are important criteria when selecting a crane. Fassi embarked on a long-term mission some time ago to develop its own market-focused models that are specifically tailored to the end-user’s vehicle and use of the crane. As sales are gradually extended to new markets, there is naturally an increase demand. When demand increases, you have to be ready to respond. Certainly over the last few years there has been a huge increase in the use of electro-hydraulics and electro-mechanical technology. This presented us with a new challenge, a challenge that began 15 years ago and has seen us become a leader in the industry today. Which is why there have always been challenges, there are still challenges now, and there always will be challenges.
