FSC: Fassi Stability Control
These systems vary according to the crane models and the specific configurations on which they are installed.
In particular, the S and SII versions, with fully automatic management, which can only be installed on cranes equipped with the FX500 or FX900 electronic device, RCH, RCS or V7 RRC radio controls, and hydraulically extendable stabilizers, prove to be a state-of-the-art product from a system engineering perspective and fully functional.
New technological opportunities, an innovative spirit, and regulatory drive are the key factors behind Fassi’s stability control system.
For this reason, the Fassi solution, in addition to meeting the new directive of the European standards body (CEN), also takes into account the different features of the product range, offering a system with a variety of versions depending on the crane models.

The FSC system, by intervening automatically, necessarily limits crane operation whenever all the conditions required to ensure vehicle stability are not met: it interacts with the extension of the lateral outriggers and the positioning of the stabilizer jacks. This is achieved through two devices: the proximity sensor, which verifies ground contact of the stabilizer jacks, and the micro/encoder reel, which detects the extension of the lateral outrigger support.
The operator is thus able to instantly monitor every step. Information regarding the status of the crane and the authorization to operate once stabilization has been achieved is displayed on the remote control screen or on the crane’s user panel.

The FSC/L system can optionally be installed on cranes ranging from the Micro series up to the F275A e-active model. It can be combined with models equipped with either the HO hydraulic moment limiter or the FX electronic one. It does not include differentiated work area management or the distinction between the right and left working areas relative to the vehicle. The system checks the positioning of the lateral stabilizer supports (of the crane and, if applicable, of the additional crossbeam) and the deployment of the related stabilizer jacks, granting authorization to use the crane only if the lateral extensions are fully extended on both sides and the stabilizer jacks are properly set on the ground.

FSC / M
The FSC/M system can be installed on crane models from the F50A active/e-active up to the F275A e-active. This system can only be installed on cranes equipped with the FX500 electronic device. The system manages the recognition of the vehicle’s right and left working areas, includes the management of the moment limiter for two working zones (differentiated limiter: maximum capacity above the truck bed and reduced capacity above the cab), and provides two (M1 version) or three (M2 version) different activations of the moment limiter depending on the positioning of the lateral stabilizer supports.

FSC / H
The FSC/H stability control system adds greater operational possibilities to the already excellent features of the FSC/M stability control. From the 3 reading positions of the M2 system, it increases to 5 positions for the crane’s outrigger and up to 3 for the additional crossbeam, allowing for a maximum of 10 different crane performance levels. This optimizes lifting capacity according to the stability conditions in place. To understand the machine’s working capacity based on the stability configuration adopted, the crane’s performance level relative to the rated value is expressed as a percentage, thus providing the user with direct information on the available lifting capacity.

FSC / S
The FSC/S system is standard for the crane range from the F245A dynamic/e-dynamic model up to the F2150RAL xhe-dynamic model.
It can optionally be installed on other models equipped with FX500 or FX900, RCH/RCS or V7RRC radio controls, and hydraulically extendable stabilizers.
It manages the recognition of the right and left work areas and the moment limiter for two zones—above the cab and above the truck bed—based on the detected stability. The system operates autonomously according to the position of the stabilizers (closed, partially extended, or fully extended), detected by linear encoders, and the inclination of the base outrigger beam, thanks to a dedicated sensor.
Dynamic software adjusts crane performance according to the work configuration, stabilizer position/extension, and base inclination. If the stabilizers are not fully extended, the pressure limit is reduced and, depending on boom position, working speeds may also be decreased.
The system automatically recognizes any counterweights and additional stabilizers.

FSC / SII
The FSC/SII system is standard for the crane range above 50 t/m in the xhe-dynamic versions and available on request for the he-dynamic versions. Functionally, it is similar to the FSC/S system, but it differs in the reduction of the minimum stability area thanks to a special advanced inclination sensor (the crane operates at full capacity as soon as the additional outrigger beam reaches 25% of its total stroke) and in the increased maximum working angles on an inclined plane.
