Fassi cranes take part in this traditional Alpine festival

Aosta (Italy) – As tradition has it, on 30th and 31st January, the town centre of Aosta hosts the Sant'Orso Fair, also known as the "Millenary Fair" due to over a thousand editions. It is, first of all, a people's festival, a time of gathering and an opportunity to relive and rediscover the traditions of Valle d'Aosta. The whole economy of this region participates in this event, which involves hobbyist and professional craftsmen, businesses and producers of the area gathering for two days in the historic centre of the city, the capital of this Italian Alpine region on the border between France and Switzerland.

Fassi Gru is one of the more than a thousand exhibitors participating in this great festival of the people in which wood, stone, iron and textiles, combined with the "savoir faire" of tradition, are the main features.

The Aosta Valley is an Alpine valley which with its tributary valleys includes the Italian slopes of Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa, Gran Paradiso and the Matterhorn; its highest peak is Mont Blanc (4,810 m or 15,780 ft). This makes it the highest region in Italy in the list of Italian regions by highest point.
