Photographer, project manager, student, snowboarder. Based within London and the South East of England, Billy is a project manager and photographer for the South Bank Collective. As a live music, events and extreme sports photographer, he generally always uses lights within his shots. His image for the Fassi 2017 calendar allowed him to create a dynamic, yet unique skyline of London.
Billy was inspired by Gjon Mili’s 1949 photography of Picasso’s light drawings of a centaur. In Billy’s image the crane is Picasso, photographed drawing in a darkened factory. The image is captured by leaving the camera shutter open and the light streaks swirling through space create a dynamic yet unique skyline of London, the image vanishing as soon as it is created.
