St. Helens (Australia) – On 12th July, three new aquaculture vessels built by the local shipbuilding company Lyndcraft Boats for the Tassal Group and Spring Bay Seafoods Pty Ltd. were launched in St. Helens, Tasmania. In line with the growth of this industry in the local area, the 16-metre-long catamaran, the “Myti Max”, belonging to Spring Bay Seafoods, has twice the cargo capacity of the company’s existing boats (12 to 15 tonnes) and is equipped with a Fassi F135AFM.0.22 crane for marine application.

The crane will be used to assist in the company’s aquaculture activities, in particular for the harvesting of shellfish, oysters and mussels for which the area is renowned. The crane was provided by Fassi’s Australian distributor, 600 Cranes Australasia Pty Ltd.
