On the ice in the South Pole

Fassi was a key player in Wissard, an American project consisting of drilling for geological analysis and inspections at depth, aimed at the study of microbial life, the climatic history of the Earth and understanding the dynamic behaviour of glaciers in Antarctica. The mission to the South Pole was entrusted to an F385AFM.2.27 crane, a choice guided by the reliability that these machines offer, especially in extreme situations. In this case, temperatures went as low as -70 degrees. The Fassi F385AFM.2.27 model was used primarily to bring the various probes down through the ice.
