Fassi F70A.0.23

A Fassi crane F70A on a special vehicle used in the logistics of steel

Calw (Germania) - 5 January. Herzog Stahlhandel GmbH has chosen a special vehicle for the logistics of its goods. The Service Centre Reichert helped the customer with base at Calw to find and to set up a specific vehicle for the delivery of steel. On a Scania 18-ton chassis, was installed a Fassi crane F70A.0.23.

The compact crane still leaves enough space to transport steel beams with length of 12 meters even if the cargo area is only 7.5 meters long. This is possible thanks to the special cockpit that allows the loading and transportation of rods for reinforced concrete using the whole length of the vehicle.

This configuration has been custom designed using a Scania chassis with the installation of a Fassi F70 in version .23 with radio remote control, with 3 hydraulic extensions and 1 manual. The compactness of the cranes allows, folding transversely behind the cab, to have still enough space to carry steel rods 12 meters long. The cab has a reduced width, so as to get cargo space in the front of the truck.

"Our choice of the crane's configuration was focused on the weight's saving to get loading performance that we want" the logistics manager of Herzog Stahlhandel GmbH explains and he adds "Reichert was very helpful in the design of the vehicle giving us valuable suggestions, so we have a special vehicle perfect for our work with unique characteristics optimal for our use."
