Misano (Italy), Thursday 19 June 2014 - A selection of eni FIM Superbike World Championship riders were involved today in an unusual type of race, when they jumped on pedalos (paddle boats) to challenge each other at the public beach in Misano, during the Media Event organised for the seventh round of the season. The riders were paired up for a sprint race to determine the teams making it to the final.
Barcelona (Spain), Tuesday 17 June 2014 - After a one year absence, the eni FIM Superbike World Championship returns to the Misano World Circuit “Marco Simoncelli”, for the seventh round of the 2014 season. The Italian track made its debut on the WSBK calendar back in 1991, when American Doug Polen (Ducati) dominated the field claiming the pole position and taking the double, on his way to his first world title.
Sepang (Malaysia), Sunday 8 June 2014 – Marco Melandri (Aprilia Racing Team) came out victorious in the second World Superbike race of the day at the Sepang International Circuit, making it two out of two in front of an enthusiastic Malaysian crowd that reached a total of 34,528 spectators over the three days. The Italian got the better of teammate Guintoli in the final lap of the race, with the two swapping positions three times before crossing the line. It was the second double of Melandri’s career after the one he scored in Brno two years ago, aboard the factory BMW.machinery he was riding at the time.
Sepang (Malaysia), Friday 6 June 2014 - After a top 3 lockout by Aprilia machines in FP1, the combined times after both of today’s Free Practice saw the same 3 riders end the day at the top, albeit with Sylvain Guintoli (Aprilia Racing Team) edging his team mate and first session pace-setter Marco Melandri and a rejuvenated Toni Elias (Red Devils Roma Aprilia), who remained 2nd and 3rd respectively.

The Malaysian venue, located 50km south of the Capital City Kuala Lumpur, will host the sixth round of the 2014 season. The state of the art circuit has a 5.548km sweeping cornered layout, with two back to back straights characterising the final part of the lap.
